Why was my Interac deposit declined?

Please see below for the most common reasons for an unsuccessful deposit.

Amount mismatch: This happens when you have made an attempt to transfer $x CAD; however, the transaction was initiated for $Y CAD. In this case, we have not received your payment.

For example, You had attempted to transfer $70 CAD; however, the transaction was initiated for $70.50 CAD. Since the amounts must match exactly, the transaction gets rejected automatically as per Interac's (Gigadat) policy and we have not received your payment.

Expired transaction: The transaction payment handle expired due to not completing it within the given time-frame, and was deemed incomplete by Interac (Gigadat). In this case, we have not received your payment.

Initiated and not completed: This refers to a transaction that was initiated but never completed. In this case, no funds were released nor claimed.

If the funds have left your account, the refund will be handled and processed by Interac (Gigadat). They will release your refund in 1 - 3 business days as per their policy. Since the refund is being handled by Interac (Gigadat), should you wish to have more details, please contact Interac (Gigadat) support at [email protected], and they will assist you promptly
