What is the Fish Buffet?
The Fish Buffet is GGPoker's loyalty program, which rewards players based on their play at GGPoker.

How does the reward system work on the regular Fish Buffet?
Once you have collected enough points in the allotted time period to spin the Fish Buffet wheel, you will be allocated the reward shown at the end of the wheel spin, the percentage shown in the Fish Buffet tables denotes the average amount of rewards you can expect to receive eg 30% will mean 30% of your Fish Points (Fish Points have a nominal value of $0.01 each) will be converted to cash at that level, based on an average of 1 million wheel spins

How are Fish Points generated?
Play any Poker or Casino games (where available) to collect Fish Points (FP)

Is the rate I receive Fish Points fixed?
Players will receive up to 100 Fish Points (FPs) for every $1 paid in rake/fees. This value is based on various factors, including but not limited to game type, the tournament played, player behaviour at tables and deposit history.
It is important to remember that rewards are based on the number of Fish Points you collect, not the rake you pay.

How many Fish Points do I receive in casino games?
Fish Buffet points will be collected at the point of wagering. For more information on earn rates per game click here

How can I check my current Fish Buffet status?
Please visit My Promo > Rewards in your GGPoker application.

Do I get Fish Points for buying another player's action?
Fish Points are not assigned for the table activity of staked players, although a portion of that action is received upon victory as per staking mechanics.

Do I get Fish Points (FPs) if a tournament overlays?
If a player participates in a guaranteed prize pool tournament that does not cover the guarantee via buy-ins and thus features an overlay.
Fish Buffet Points generated for that player will be less than otherwise and reduced in correlation to the overlay amount.

Does selling my action result in amendments to the rate of Fish Point assignment?
Staking funds do not alter the rate of FP assignment, which is dynamic and changes based on your game type and various alternate factors. Although a portion of those game shares is sold, the full amount of Fish Points are assigned without amendment. Players playing events in which they are staked will earn points for their play as per regular rates, while players purchasing stakes receive the appropriate portion of that action but do not receive Fish Points. Likewise, staked players cannot fulfil their backer’s bonus requirements through tournament play.

Do I have to opt-in for the Fish Buffet?
New players may have to opt-in for Fish Buffet, depending on their region.

Can I opt out of the Fish Buffet?
Players can choose to opt-out at any time. Any rewards accrued during the opt-out period will be null and void.

Is the Fish Buffet promotion available to all players?
No, in some regions it is not available.

What time zone is my Fish Buffet displayed in?
Fish Buffet times are displayed in your local time.

Can I view my Fish Buffet History anywhere?
Yes, you can do so in the client/app.
Go to My Page > Rewards Program > Fish Buffet History.

How do I move up the levels of the Fish Buffet?
Players must meet certain points targets within a certain timeframe in order to move up to the next level/tier.

What does average cashback mean?
Also known as 'EV' this is the amount you would expect to receive as an average if the wheel was spun millions of times.
For example, if 10,000 Fish Points (nominal value $100) are needed to spin a wheel, and the average cashback is 40%, over millions of spins your average return would be $40

I've completed a Fish Buffet level/tier - what happens next?
Congratulations, you may now spin the Fish Buffet wheel which will determine your cashback amount. You will then start on the new level with 0 FPs and have a new points target to be completed within a timeframe.

I did not make the required points to reach the next level/tier - what happens now?
You will be demoted to the previous level (Plankton excluded) and receive 10% cash back on any Fish Points you had earned.

I've received a message that I have a Fish Buffet spin but I did not click it - what happens now?
Simply visit the Fish Buffet from the application, move back to the level and spin the wheel to redeem your reward.
All spins will be automatically credited within 30 days.

What happens if I do not spin the Fish Buffet wheel - does it expire?
Unspun wheel spins will be automatically spun and rewards credited after 30 days.

I am not going to reach my Fish Point target for the next level/tier - can my rewards be paid out earlier?
No, rewards will only be paid once the level is completed or failed. Early redemption is not possible.

I've just exited a tournament - but my Fish Points did not update - why is this?
Fish Points are awarded once the tournament concludes and not when your participation in the tournament comes to an end.

I'm playing Rush & Cash and my Fish Points are not increasing - why is this?
Fish Points from Rush & Cash games are only added once you leave the pool.

Does each level only have one tier?
Plankton and Goldfish are single-tier levels.
Shrimp are divided into three tiers (Bronze, Silver Gold)
Crab is divided into three tiers (Bronze Silver Gold)
Octopus is divided into three tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
Whale is divided into three tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and three sub-tiers (3, 2 1)

Plankton level - How many points do I need to earn to get promoted to Goldfish?
Players must earn 750 Fish Points to complete Plankton and move up to Goldfish.

Plankton level - How much time do I have to earn the 750 Fish Points to move up to Goldfish?
Players have 7 days to earn the 750 FPs to move up to Goldfish.

Plankton level - What are the rewards available on the Plankton wheel?
Prizes range from $0.75 to $2
Players can earn up to 27% cash back on the Plankton level.
The minimum cashback is 10%

As Plankton is the lowest level, you cannot be demoted.
You will remain at Plankton level and will receive 10% cashback on your accrued points and restart the level with 0FPs and 7 days to compete.
Example: You earn 500 FPs - you will receive $0.50 in rewards.

Plankton level - I've completed it and have been rewarded my cashback - what happens now?
Congratulations, you are now Goldfish and you start with 0 FPs!

Goldfish level - How many points do I need to earn to get promoted to Bronze Shrimp?
Players must earn 1,500 Fish Points to complete Goldfish and move up to Bronze Shrimp.

Goldfish level - How much time do I have to earn the 1,500 Fish Points to move up to Bronze Shrimp?
Players have 7 days to earn the 1,500 FPs to move up to Bronze Shrimp.

Goldfish level - What are the rewards available on the Goldfish wheel?
Prizes range from $1.50 to $5
Players can earn up to 33% cash back on the Goldfish level.
The minimum cashback is 10%

Goldfish level - I did not make the required points to move up - what happens?
You are demoted to the Plankton level. and will receive 10% cashback on your accrued points and restart the level with 0 FPs and 7 days to compete.
Example: You earn 500 FPs - you will receive $0.50 in rewards.

Goldfish level - I've completed it and have been rewarded my cashback - what happens now?
Congratulations, you are now Bronze Shrimp and you start with 0 FPs!

Shrimp level - Do I have to clear each tier individually?
Yes, you must complete Bronze Shrimp first, then Silver and then Gold

Shrimp level - How many points do I have to earn to complete a tier?
Players must earn 6,000 Fish Points to clear each tier.

Shrimp level -  How much time do I have to earn the 6,000 Fish Points to move up?
Players have 15 days to complete each tier of Shrimp.

Prizes range from $6-$30
Players can earn up to 50% cash back on the Shrimp level.
The minimum cashback is 10%

Crab level - Do I have to clear each tier individually?
Yes, you must complete Bronze Crab first, then Silver and then Gold

Crab level - How many points do I have to earn to complete a tier?
Players must earn 12,000 Fish Points to clear each tier.
12,000 FPs to clear Bronze Crab
12,000 FPs to clear Silver Crab
12,000 FPs to clear Gold Crab

Crab level -  How much time do I have to earn the 12,000 Fish Points to move up?
Players have 15 days to complete each tier of Crab.

Crab level - What are the rewards available on the Crab wheel?

Players can earn up to 50% cash back on the Crab level.

Octopus level - Do I have to clear each tier individually?
Yes, you must complete Bronze Octopus  first, then Silver and then Gold

Octopus level - How many points do I have to earn to complete a tier?
Players must earn 60,000 Fish Points to clear each tier. 

Octopus level -  How much time do I have to earn the 60,000 Fish Points to move up?
Players have 30 days to complete each tier of Octopus

Octopus level - What are the rewards available on the Octopus wheel?
Prizes range from $60-$360
Players can earn up to 60% cash back on the Octopus level.
The minimum cashback is 10%

With each progression up to the next tier, you will receive a cash-back spin.

Whale level - Do I have to clear each tier and sub-tier individually?
Yes, you must complete Bronze Whale 3, 2, 1 then Silver Whale 3, 2, 1 and then Gold Whale 3, 2 and 1.

Whale level - How many points do I have to earn to complete a sub-tier?
Players must earn 120,000 Fish Points to clear each sub-tier. (Bronze Whale 3 to Bronze Whale 2)

Whale level -  How much time do I have to earn the 120,000 Fish Points to move up?
Players have 30 days to complete each sub-tier of Whale

Whale level - What are the rewards available on the Octopus wheel?
Prizes range from $120-$1,200
Players can earn up to 60% cash back on the Whale level.
The minimum cashback is 10%

Whale level - I've completed Gold Whale 1 and have been moved to Platinum Shark - what happened to my wheel spin?
Due to system constraints, the final wheel spin is not displayed. However, your prize has been awarded and added to your balance. Please check your balance history > rewards

Whale level - Do I receive a wheel spin for completing each tier or just when I complete Gold Whale 1?
With each progression up to the next tier, you will receive a cash-back spin.
Gold Whale 1 is slightly different as is explained here.

Can I switch from Fish Buffet to Platinum Fish Buffet?
Yes, players can decide to move from Fish Buffet to Platinum.
In order to do so players must be Bronze Shrimp>>> or higher to make the switch.
That means that players Goldfish or below cannot switch to Platinum.

What happens if I switch from Fish Buffet to Platinum Fish Buffet?
If you switch from Fish Buffet to Platinum any points you have earned will move across to the Platinum Rank and be eligible for collection at the Platinum rank rate on the next available Monday after 00:00 UTC.

I've moved from Fish Buffet to Platinum - I have not received my rewards - why is this?
Rewards are not immediate. Rewards will be available on the next Monday after 00:00 UTC. 

I am currently a "Whale" on the Fish Buffet - If I switch to Platinum Ranks - what level will I become?
After switching, you will become a Platinum Octopus. Any points you have earned at the Whale level will transfer across and be eligible for collection at the Platinum Octopus rate after 00:00 UTC on the next Monday.

I am currently an "Octopus" on the Fish Buffet - If I switch to Platinum Ranks - what level will I become?
After switching, you will become a Platinum Fish. Any points you have earned at the Octopus level will transfer across and be eligible for collection at the Platinum Fish rate after 00:00 UTC on the next Monday.

I am currently a "Crab" on the Fish Buffet - If I switch to Platinum Ranks - what level will I become?
After switching, you will become a Platinum Fish. Any points you have earned at the Crab level will transfer across and be eligible for collection at the Platinum Fish rate after 00:00 UTC on the next Monday.

I am currently a "Shrimp" on the Fish Buffet - If I switch to Platinum Ranks - what level will I become?

How do I switch from Fish Buffet to Platinum Fish Buffet?
From the Home Screen click on your Fish Buffet rank (located on the right sidebar just above the date and time clock
Switch from the Fish Buffet tab to the Platinum tab
Then click on switch to Platinum
Click OK if you wish to proceed
